The festival kick-starts with a live performance by cult band INDIAN OCEAN
International Film Festival Ahmedabad, a much acclaimed platform after two consistent glorious years has reached another milestone with the announcement of its 3rd edition to be held from August 25th to 28th this year.
Films can be submitted for 2
competition categories – International Feature Films & Short Films at the official festival website www.ifilmfest.in. There is no Submission Fee to the festival and the last date for film submission is 25th July.
Indian Ocean, the cult contemporary fusion band will rock the stage with their performance on the Opening Night as the Official Art and Culture Ambassador. The true, authentic & earthy sound of the band is synonymous with the true spirit of the film festival.
The pitch is open for both zealous and amateur film makers who can submit their entries by 25th July 2011 to REVEAL the REEL of their creativity at the International Film Festival.
The festival will showcase some of the finest underground Independent Films from India & abroad and will also feature retrospectives of two iconic independent filmmakers of our times along with a retrospective of an International Filmmaker.
Staying true to the love for Cinema, the event will have complimentary access for all the film lovers. The festival mantra is to INSPIRE the patrons by SHOWCASING the IMAGINATION of some of the Avant-garde filmmakers. The committed & dedicated team behind the film festival aspire to turn this recurring annual event a force to reckon with on the international platform.
The earlier two editions of the film festival have witnessed presence of dignitaries like Ketan Mehta, Sudhir Mishra, Govind Nihalani, Vinod Dua, Vipul Shah, John Lee Junior, Dorothee Wenner, Alina Rizvanova, Anjan Dutta, Sekhar Das, Anjum Rajabali, Somnath Sen, A. Sreekar Prasad, Tom Alter, Pawan Malhotra, Manisha Koirala, M. S. Sathyu, Paresh Mokashi, Luke Kenny, Sonam Kapoor, Tanistha Chaterjee, Sona Jain and many others. These dignitaries and industry bigwigs have not only added to the grace of the event but also shared their mantras of success with the enthralling audiences and the participants.

1. There is no film production cut off date.
2. The maximum run time for Short Films/ Documentaries is 40 minutes
3. We accept as many as film a director wants to submit. There is no cap on the maximum number of submissions by a single fimmaker. However Each film has to be submitted separately.
4. We accept only one film on one DVD.
